Ibero-American Forum of La Rábida

The Ibero-American Forum of La Rábida is an auditorium located in La Rábida, within the municipality of Palos de la Frontera (Huelva). It was built on the occasion of the Fifth Centenary of the discovery of America and has a capacity for 4,000 people.

Construction began through the initiative of the Provincial Government of Huelva between the years 1988 and 1991, with the project designed by architects José Álvarez Checa and Tomás V. Curbelo Ranero. Its structure is made of reinforced concrete on columns of the same material, simulating the structure of a Greek theater. Various marbles were used for the cladding, connecting with the granite stone that surrounds the building, which features brick and stone terraced seating.

It is adjacent to the Caravels Pier and the monument commemorating the Plus Ultra achievement.
