The Monument to Cristóbal Colón

We could describe as majestic the statue of Christopher Columbus that presides over the gardens of the Monastery of La Rábida. It was created by the sculptor Alberto Germán Franco, born in Seville but with a heart in Huelva, commissioned by the Real Sociedad Colombina Onubense and the City Council of Palos de la Frontera on the occasion of the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the death of the illustrious navigator.
